(Dec 11) Stake Conference

Members of the Sammamish Valley Stake,

On Sunday, December 11th, beginning at 9am, we will have a special stake conference with Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. Elder Bednar will be accompanied by Elder Siegfried A. Naumann, who currently serves as an Area Authority Seventy and lives in Gig Harbor, WA.

The special stake conference will be held at the stake center, and all members are invited to attend in person. We will send additional communications with conference details as the date approaches, including information on remote broadcast for members of the stake who are unable to attend in person. We very much look forward to being together at this unique meeting.

As we spiritually prepare to receive the message the Lord has for us through one of His ordained Apostles, it may be helpful to review what we have learned recently from President Russell M. Nelson. He has taught us to make time for the Lord in our day-to-day routine in order to strengthen our spiritual foundations. He has instructed us on how to create and maintain positive spiritual momentum in our lives. For example, President Nelson gave this counsel in his first formal Conference remarks as the President of the Church, “Nothing opens the heavens quite like the combination of increased purity, exact obedience, earnest seeking, daily feasting on the words of Christ in the Book of Mormon, and regular time committed to temple and family history work.”  

Our testimony is that the Lord will help each of us as we prepare to be taught by one of His special witnesses.
